About Us

Fieldstone Farm is a 90-acre working farm in Germantown , Wisconsin , established in 1983 and built on a lifelong love of horses.  We have a 70x130 indoor arena,  a l00x200 outdoor arena, a heated show barn with lounge and wash rack, 5 pastures, and 7 paddocks.

We think Fieldstone Farm is special because we have bred, raised and trained most of the horses we have shown successfully.

We have earned our success on a limited budget, building on our experiences, one step at a time.  In the process we’ve learned that success comes with hard work, persistence, lots of patience, love for our animals and a keen eye for detail in their training and showing.

Fieldstone Farm is special, too, because it is truly a family affair.

Mom Susan got her first horse when she was a 12, a “hot” Saddlebred mare that she rode “rain, shine or blizzard!”  Later she competed in open shows and speed events, rode race horses on the dirt tracks in Wisconsin, then ventured into showing the AQHA circuit and state dressage competitions, riding up to 3rd level.

Once daughter Alisa started showing, mom stepped back from riding and concentrated on helping Alisa acquire the necessary riding and showing skills to amass an enviable show record of her own. Richard, originally a city boy from New York , has always loved horses and took riding lessons in his youth.  He assists with the daily farm chores and is the chief "hay maker".  Son Michael grew up helping out everywhere he could and became the #1 groom for his sister at shows.  Today he has a career in international banking, but he still lends a hand whenever he can.
Fieldstone Farm is just north of Milwaukee , 10 minutes from U.S. Hwy 45, 30 minutes from Milwaukee ’s Mitchell International Airport and approximately l hour 45 minutes from Chicago ’s O’Hare Airport.
